Finca Astoria

The guest house is a side hustle for Rebecca. Her primary paying job is to write and coordinate social impact studies for large scale public works projects like new dams and bridges. Her life's mission is to develop a permaculture, enviro-village. To that end she has purchased a beautiful piece of property (more than 20 hectares) that has never been developed and is only sparsely crossed by foot traffic. She's had it less than a year so her plans are still developing but she took us up to walk it this morning.

It rained most of the night, and a fair amount of the day, but we were up in time to make the 30 minute drive and start the walk before dawn. The goal was to catch the sunrise from one of the peaks. Unfortunately, the cloud cover worked against us.
